I attempted to stay out of the house on yesterday in order to avoid being re-traumatized through video of 9-11 events being played over and over and over and over and over and over again. I woke this morning to kids singing. I had to share.
This video is so great because it's not promoting that we remember tragedy, but remember the good in people and salute our heroes.
The video is directed by Spike Lee and I think the choice of "Empire State of Mind" by Jay Z and Alicia was perfect.
